Get Found on Google!

Running a website comes with so much responsibility, from SEO to blog writing to lead magnets to eCommerce, there is SO much to manage isn’t there? So how do you actually get found on Google? Ranking on Google Search doesn’t have to be complicated, I’m going to share with you a tip that may help you if you are finding that you aren’t getting any traffic coming from Google.
How to Get Found on Google Search
Recently, we were conducting a site audit for one of our clients and they weren’t sure why they just weren’t getting any hits on google, they were doing all the right things SEO wise, but no one was finding them through google at all.
When we investigated into it we actually realised that they were not listed on Google because Google couldn’t index their site!
Did you know that when you’re searching on Google, you’re not searching a live database? You are actually searching Google’s stored database, so unless you’ve ‘asked’ them to come and crawl your site, it won’t be appearing on Google!
How do you ask Google to crawl your site?
There is also something that you have to do whereby you have to submit your sitemap to Google Search console.
So that tells google:
This is our website
This is how you crawl it
This is the information that we are asking you to put on your database.
Without completing those stages that could be why your business is not appearing on Google!
You’ll need to generate a sitemap file for your website and submit it to the Google search console. This a free tool that lets you control your website from Google’s perspective.
